  2. POLICY
  3. It is the policy of UCR to conduct operations and activities in such a manner that environmental impact will be kept to a reasonable minimum.

    University operations shall be conducted in compliance with applicable regulations and within accepted environmental standards as appropriate.

  4. PROCEDURES
  5. Permits will be sought and maintained by each department which conducts or sponsors any activity or operation requiring such from applicable federal, state and local agencies such as U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), California Environmental Protection Agency (Cal-EPA), California State Department of Health Services (DHS), etc. All permits should be maintained in an accessible location by the respective department.

  6. RESPONSIBILITY
  7. Each involved administrative unit and individual is responsible for implementing these procedures.
